A Year in Review Part Two/Something Good/There Were So Many Things I Forgot!!!!
HNY!
The moment that the inaugural post on The Fuss spread its wings and flew out into the world, I remembered no fewer than fifteen other pop-culture moments from 2025 I should have included (such is life, I guess!!). Here, even though no one asked, are some of those afterthoughts.

Model Comedian, Caleb Hearon
One of our best. His podcast, So True, got me through countless commutes in 2025, and this special feels so effortlessly funny and dialed in, it's truly shocking that it's his first.
The Rehearsal, Season 2
I think about this show once a day.
Chris Fleming, Truly Anything He Says/Does
We do not deserve Chris Fleming. His incredibly unique style of comedy, eclectic personal style, and physicality on stage is so refreshing that you can't help but feel like Everything Will Be Okay while watching him. It was impossible to pick a clip of his to add here, but I can only hope this one will lead you down a Chris Fleming Rabbit Hole.
Overcompensating, All of Season 1, But Especially Episode 7

Denial is a River / Boiled Peanuts, Doechii, Live on The Late Show
Doechii had a huge 2025; touring the world, winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album, and giving us a reason to listen to Gotye again. I loved this smaller scale performance, though, for its impeccably tight choreo, the matching Gucci fits, and Stephen Colbert's bow to them at the end.
Diet Pepsi (Cover), Ben Platt, Live on the Las Culturistas Culture Awards
I didn't know the original could get any better but Ben Platt proved me wrong before he even finished singing the first line. A generational talent!!
Don't Be Gay, Jerrod Carmichael
I loved Jerrod Carmichael's 2024 documentary series, Reality Show, where he chronicles his journey embracing his sexuality, especially in context of his relationship with his mother. This special is a lot more lighthearted, while still reminding us that wherever we go, (un)fortunately, there we are.
St. Denis Medical, Season 2, But Also Season 1
Did we need another mockumentary-style sitcom? Probably not! But despite believing that going in, I started watching St. Denis Medical because I loved Mekki Leeper so much in Jury Duty. He is just as delightful in this, but is made even more so by the rest of the cast. Particularly, Josh Lawson, who plays Bruce, an insufferable narcissist constantly overcompensating for his crippling loneliness (classic!).
Ordinary, Alex Warren
Every time I'm listening to the radio and this song comes on, a version of Severance™️ takes place and I become a completely different person. A person that genuinely thinks this song is a masterpiece. I was very upset to learn, though, that Mr. Warren was saying "On the edge of your knife, stayin' drunk on your vine," instead of "...staying drunk on your vibe," which I think is more poetic tbh!!!
Okay, that's it for 2025! Really!
More soon ✌️
